About AirLive
AirLive is a world map of live aviation streams on YouTube: airport webcams, plane spotting and air traffic control. Pick a pin to watch a stream, with live planes, airport weather and local time alongside it. AirLive is an independent site, run by one aviation fan.
How it works
AirLive finds live streams with the YouTube Data API and puts each one on the map at its airport.
Every stream plays in YouTube’s own player, or you can open it on YouTube. AirLive doesn’t restream, record or host any video. The streams belong to the channels that run them.
Data sources and credits
- YouTube Data API Finds the live streams and their titles, channels and viewer numbers.
- adsb.lol Live aircraft positions and rare aircraft. Aircraft data © adsb.lol contributors, under the Open Database Licence (ODbL).
- FlyItalyADSB Additional aircraft feed that shares the load and covers while adsb.lol is unavailable.
- aviationweather.gov Airport weather (METAR) from the US National Weather Service. Not for flight planning.
- OurAirports Airport positions, runways and elevations (public domain).
- mwgg/Airports Airport time zones (MIT licence).
- Virtual Radar Server standing data Flight routes for the inbound and outbound lists (CC0).
- Esri Map tiles. © Esri, HERE, Garmin, OpenStreetMap contributors.
- Leaflet and Leaflet.markercluster The map itself (BSD and MIT licences).
- Barlow and IBM Plex Mono Fonts (SIL Open Font Licence).
